The 1990s saw A-listers like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Taylor (for the eighth and final time) and more tie the knot in luxe dresses that featured statement pieces, such as a bedazzled headpiece and a 27-foot train.

Kate Winslet glittered in her wedding to artist Jim Threapleton on Nov. 22, 1998, wearing a custom Alexander McQueen empire waist dress adorned with jeweled fringe and more ornate embellishments — a look both very of-the-moment and also straight out of the period films she was so famous for. TheTitanic actress also wore sparkling beaded fingerless gloves to add to the effect.

Celine Dion tied the knot with her manager René Angélil on Dec. 17, 1994. The legendary singer had an equally iconic dress, opting for a silk Mirella and Steve Gentile gown covered in crystals. She accessorized her veil with a headpiece made out of Swarovski crystals.
