Ashlee Simpson only has one regret about The Ashlee Simpson Show.
The 40-year-old “L.O.V.E.” singer spoke out in a recent episode of Pod Meets World, and revealed that her kids have started to watch her old MTV reality TV show, which aired for two seasons starting in 2004.
The classic ’00s reality TV show chronicled her life as a musician on her first major tour, and living in the shadow of sister Jessica Simpson‘s fame.

“It’s okay though because my best friends on the show, Stephanie and Lauren, they’re on the show with me and they’re the godmothers of both of my children,” she explained. “And there’s so many silly moments.”
However, she said one thing “kills” her.
“I mean, the only thing that kills me is, like, my voice. Like, this voice. I’m like, ‘Oh my god. What is this talking voice? I don’t know,’” she noted of how she speaks on the series.
“Naturally hearing the sound of your voice, that one really kills me. But I think for me, though, it was so important because it was such a window to my life and what was changing…this was kind of the first of that kind of making, doing an album, but not making a band. It was following the process.”
