Amanda is soaking in every magic moment of Elvis’s milestones, and this week was no different. The TV personality and fitness trainer shared an emotional post about her little boy’s first day of first grade: tears, three-piece suit, and plenty of comfort. Followers seemed genuinely moved by this post, many expressing that they could relate to that bittersweet feeling of kids just growing too fast.

Standing proud in front of a light-blue door, Elvis had donned a light-blue suit which he had consciously chosen “to look handsome,” while an ornamental plaque came to life listing his favorites-dinosaurs; the color blue; and favorite books! The picture grabbed a breath of excitement mixed with just a tad bit of nostalgia-cherishing one such fleeting moment of childhood before time decides never to wait. The greenery wreath placed above the door lends a vintage charm to the moment.
Whatever Kloots had penned in the caption almost spoke as much as the picture depicting the end of a fast-paced summer, the butterflies in the stomach before a new school year, and all the little things that go by-they helped them through: Friendship bracelets, Bible verses, and letters tucked in a drawer for comfort. “The walk down to school, never easy. Lots of tears. Will we ever not cry the first day of school?”
The comment section was filled with well-wishes and encouragement for a child who is felt to have certainly blossomed in confidence over the past year. One said, “Big difference from last year’s first day. His confidence has grown so much!” Another added, “Elvis is such a happy, kind, and joyful boy… His classmates and teachers will agree.”
Several couldn’t shut up about the little man’s fashion statement-one jokingly said, “Most stylish 1st grader everrrrrr!” Another exclaimed, “Could he be any more adorable! Go Elvis! You are going to rock 1st grade.”
The most impassioned responses came from parents who have gone through quite an emotional ride with their children. One mom shared, “My daughter is now a 6th grader, and we have said this same scripture verse since pre-kindergarten… Till this day, I tell her ‘God is with you where?’ And she replies ‘Wherever we go.’” Another one, with older kids herself, reassured, “I can honestly say it gets a little easier in high school.”
Kloots revealed something adorable about the friendship bracelets she and Elvis wear-they are paired so that when he taps his, hers will vibrate. A very small, yet very special way of saying, ‘I love you,’ when they are apart.

This post went ahead to remind that these kids grow up so fast, almost before one’s eyes, with love and support from a parent-and that perfectly-fitted suit-can ease some of the bumps along the way. The comments insinuate that Elvis wouldn’t be the only one began his school term on a heavy heart.
