Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin have both made Instagram videos providing fans with updates on his car crash in East Hampton, New York.
The 67-year-old Emmy winner says his brother Stephen Baldwin was visiting him for the Hamptons Film Festival when they went out driving and he hit a tree on Monday (October 13).

In his video, Alec assures everyone that he and Stephen are both fine. He claims that a massive “garbage truck the size of a whale” cut him off and so he swerved “to avoid hitting him,” and instead hit “a big, fat tree.”
The Range Rover he was driving belonged to Hilaria.
“I crashed my wife’s car. I feel bad about that.”
Her video was much shorter, just a brief clip where she confirms that everyone is fine.
“Everybody is okay, no one was hurt, and that is the most important thing,” she tells the camera, followed by wishing love to everyone.
In the initial TMZ report, the outlet said they spoke with the company that owned the garbage truck and they claimed the driver wasn’t involved in the crash.
The outlet also received a statement from Stephen‘s rep, who said, “Stephen is doing fine and is grateful no one was injured. He appreciates the concern and he can confirm that he and Alec are both safe and well.”
Toward the end of The Departed star’s video, he tells Hilaria he loves her and is proud of her, seemingly offering some support after she was recently eliminated from Dancing With the Stars.
