Ace Frehley has passed away.
The former lead guitarist and founding member of rock band KISS died at the age of 74 years old, after suffering injuries from a fall last month, his family confirms, via Variety.
His family shared in a statement, “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”

Ace founded KISS alongside Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons in 1972, and they were synonymous for their black and white makeup looks.
The musician left the band in 1982 for a solo career, and returned in 1996 through 2002.
