Rachel Zegler never thought she would be a ‘part of something so celebrated in this lifetime’ after Snow White bomb

Rachel Zegler took to Instagram on Saturday to commemorate a career bounceback with Evita, after her live-action adaptation of Snow White flopped at the box office earlier this year.

The 24-year-old singer-actress posted a carousel of black-and-white photos to her 2.5 million followers on the social media platform, commemorating the end of her run of the Evita revival in London.

‘I never imagined i’d get to be a part of something so celebrated in this lifetime,’ the New Jersey native captioned the shot.

Zegler, who commandeered the role of María in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 West Side Story remake, said playing the title role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical was akin to a dream come true.

Zegler said the project marked ‘a dream role in a dream show with a dream director and a dream choreographer and a dream cast (!!!) and a dream crew.’

The Golden Globe-winning star said that she had made a new group of confidantes working in the musical in England.

‘The friends i have made on this journey are forever, and the memories we’ve shared this summer are enough to bring me to tears during every curtain call,’ Zegler said.

Zegler showed her gratitude to those who had shown up to watch her take the stage at the London Palladium through the limited run.

‘Whether you’ve been part of the 220,000 that joined us inside the palladium these past 12 weeks, or the over 130,000 descamisados who showed up at our balcony everyday, thank you,’ she said.

Zegler also thanked the play’s director Jamie Lloyd ‘for everything,’ adding, ‘The truth is i shall not leave you.’

Famed composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, 77, name checked the actress as he commemorated the conclusion of the musical’s latest run.

‘Thanks and congratulations to @rachelzegler, @jamielloyd and everyone on stage and off who made this extraordinary show possible,’ Webber said.

He noted that the standing ovation following the show Saturday marked ‘the longest in history of the London Palladium!’
