The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are showcasing a parallel between the Fisher brothers on social media.
In the latest episode of the series, which is season 3, episode 9, Belly found herself in Paris after her wedding to Jeremiah was called off.
She spends the episode running around Paris after her backpack gets stolen. She does successfully get her bag back, and on her way to the airport to head back home, she finally makes contact with Jere.
She tells him that she has decided to stay in Paris, France for the time being to find herself again.
However, there’s a line within this back-and-forth that has stuck out in the minds of some fans.

While speaking on the phone, Belly says to Jeremiah, “You don’t want to like, murder me?”
Jeremiah responds, “Uh, a little”
This has made some fans of the show remember a moment between Belly and Conrad back in season 1, episode 3.
During an upsetting moment for Belly, she asks Conrad, “So does everyone hate me now?”
Conrad responds, “Who could ever hate you?”
The difference between the way they both spoke to her in these vulnerable moments has caused some discourse online.
Some fans have posted thoughts like, “There’s a REASON why I’m Team Conrad since DAY 1″ and “Jeremiah never loved her😭😭 he just wanted her because conrad [did].” However, some fans are making other points, like, “You cant compare the second part with a four year relationship that ultimately ended because belly still had feelings for someone else.
