Hafþór Björnsson, also known as “the mountain” from hit series, game of thrones, has broken the world record for deadlifting with a massive 505 kg lift.
The event took place at the Eisenhart Black Competition in Bavaria, Germany. Björnsson used a deadlift suit and lifting straps during the attempt, which was sanctioned under strongman rules.
This surpasses his previous 501kg lift from 2020 and beats Eddie Hall’s long-standing 500kg record set in 2016.
