Josh Radnor, who will go into history as Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother, recently took to Instagram to shine a light on a 15-year creative collaboration with Marro. The post included a warm and nostalgic image of him and Jon Marro all dressed up in winter gear.

The picture depicts the two HPAs standing cheek-by-jowl, casual in winter attire, and knit hats-One adorned with an intricate pattern, while the other is quite playful with a massive pom-pom! Their demeanor, along with the soft and even lighting, created an ambience of warmth and camaraderie-namely the spirit of friendship and creative synergy Radnor speaks of in his caption.

Radnor calls Mussaro his “in-house Creative Director,” a shared account of meals, mens’ groups, and psychedelic medicine ceremonies. Marro has since created album covers, wedding invitations, and all sorts of stuff for Radnor. Now, he has his sights set on children’s books, with a Kickstarter campaign for Meet The Good Seeds-a fanciful story about food, farming, and Earth wisdom.

Excitement erupted among fans and friends in the comments. One remarked upon Marro’s artistry: “gorgeous and one of a kind!” while another joked inside: “Salad girl misses you!” Another was sincere: “It still makes me feel cool that I made you one,” in reference to having made a guitar strap for Radnor.

Some others, however, drew comparisons; one said Marro resembles actor Riz Ahmed. Then the longtime members agreed on those album-producing projects-NYC, We Shall Rest, and Red-were indeed their favorites.

In turn, Radnor’s post not only brought out Marro’s project but also showcased the beauty that any long-term creative collaborations possess. With the Kickstarter almost at the finish line, the nudge from this actor might be just what Meet The Good Seeds needs to head into production.

Radnor directed followers to goodseeds.com, from which one can preorder the book or contribute to the campaign itself if one wishes to support the project. Looking in retrospect at what these two have accomplished together, this next chapter is sure to have as much life and meaning as all the preceding ones.
