Joss Stone is opening up about a painful chapter in her past.
The 38-year-old British soul singer revealed in a series of Instagram Reels that she was once in an abusive relationship, describing it as an “extremely dangerous” time in her life.
In one video, Joss recalled how she tried to leave multiple times but found it increasingly difficult.
“I had tried to leave him, I can’t tell you how many times. And each time it felt like it was getting more and more dangerous,” she said.
She shared that her ex allegedly threw her out into the rain wearing only a T-shirt and no underwear, and chased after her when she ran.

“That f—– was running after me. It was so annoying,” Joss said, adding that he told her police would arrest her. She explained she was finally able to escape because of her career as a touring musician, deciding to never return.
In her posts, Joss also stressed the importance of preparation for anyone experiencing abuse. She encouraged people to “pack that bag” and “make your plan,” adding that “safety is everything.” She reminded her followers, “1 in 3 women are abused by their partners at some point. Don’t let it break you.”
Joss is now married to Cody DaLuz, and the couple are parents to four children, including their newborn daughter, Nalima Rose. She welcomed the baby earlier this year.
