Political analyst Ana Navarro-Cárdenas gave her viewers a forty-eight-hours glimpse into the life of her tiny poodle Cha Cha, which finally plunged into the ocean waters for one and a half seconds while the sun shone down. Navarro’s Instagram post showed her standing on the deck of the boat with her little brown dog against a scene of bright turquoise waves and rocky shores, with the white catamaran anchored.

“Guess who got into the water today?” Navarro said in the caption for a bright picture of her vacation. So proud of my little girl.” That snapshot is just perfect for the proud-pet-mom moment when a dog faces their fear of water. But that glum look on Cha Cha’s face might mean she wasn’t terribly keen on the experience.
Comments poured in with applause for the reluctant swimmer. “Yayyyyy Cha Cha! So proud of you!!!” sang one enthusiastic fan; another joked, “She was probably cussing the entire time!” The post struck a chord among other dog lovers, and many commented telling stories about their own fellas’ watery adventures.
One reminisced about Buttercup, “would fling herself off the back of our boat to swim to shore looking for sticks.” Others worried that saltwater would not do well to a dog’s coat, one saying, “SALT water and doggies….not sure if its a good mix. Just saying..”
The holiday pics also gave way to some unrelated commentary about Navarro’s beauty, with one fan gushing: “Ana, you look so much younger and so beautiful without makeup.” The other insulted her marriage somehow: “Hello Ana.. how long are you on your luxury vacation with your grandpa husband?” To which another commented: “longer than Melania has spent with her grandpa husband all year.”
In all the madness, the little star remained Cha Cha. “has she learned any Greek yet? woof woof woof,” one commenter said in Greek. “Whale in the water!!!” said another. One keen observer added: “She looks none too pleased and probably saying – get me a hair dryer and a drink pronto!”
Renowned for her political commentary on CNN and The View, Navarro would on occasion throw in a peek into her life with Cha Cha, who in her own right is fast becoming somewhat of a celebrity. A feat that somehow may have shown that even a handful of the most pampered dogs can find their way into an unfamiliar side of themselves-or would Cha Cha argue otherwise? Because once was enough.”
That interlude was a lovely break from Navarro’s usual political fare, throwing a quick spotlight on the softer side of this oft-angry commentator. “Love following you and your adorable Cha Cha!” said one follower. Whether wet or dry, these two are increasingly cast in the spotlight on unfiltered fun.

Additionally, Navarro has been known to capitalize on moments where she can share her experiences outside the political scene, showcasing the love and joy of her time with Cha Cha.
