The broadcast of the VMA Awards in 2024 featured a big moment: what Lisa gave in a speech is a big starlet in the K-Pop universe. MTV speculates right now if she will again wear the crown.

Making reference to that speech, MTV posted on Instagram recalling Lisa’s acceptance speech for Best K-Pop in 2024, in which she insisted the moment had to go out to all her supporters. The caption read: “How to deliver a perfect #VMAs speech? Make it about the fans, like @lalalalisa_m accepting Best K-Pop in 2024.” Then the network teased the chance for her to win again and urged everyone to watch live on CBS and Paramount Plus on September 7.

That speech was golden, precious, and one for the books; equal parts grateful and charming. Lisa thanked her fans-Blinks and Lilies-with genuine warmth and closed with an endearing Thai “thank you” from the native tongue of the artist. One of the panelists put it this way: “I love that she said thanks in Thai. It’s the magical touch.” Another simply said: “That’s the queen never forgetting where she came from.”

Comments are already pouring in, clearly in support of Lisa, and many are pushing for another award: “Lisa will be the winner always,” declared another. “Blinks and Lilies, let’s make Lisa win her third VMA!” Then, of course, there were those who slammed MTV for trying to cash in on BLACKPINK’s notoriety. “Always using BLACKPINK’s image to get clicks, huh MTV?” scoffed one user.

Praise came, much more than not. “Lalisa, you are the queen, best idol of K-Pop,” one tribute said. Another chimed in, calling her “the most amazing, beautiful, hottest girl in the world,” and bombarding her with heart emojis to pour their love on her.

There is probably no denying the bond Lisa really shares with her fans. She either expresses thanks in different languages or grants recognition to them for her successes; Lisa knows how to make her fans feel acknowledged. If comments are anything to go by, this undying love will win her another award.

Mark it down because the 2025 VMA Awards will be broadcast live on September 7; if history repeats itself again, Lisa might already have that speech ready to go. However, whether she’ll be actually taking one home this time or not, the fanbase she has is here to stay.
