A Texas man drew widespread attention online after a video showed him riding a horse through the aisles of a Target store. The clip, which circulated widely on social media, captured shocked reactions from shoppers and employees alike.

The man, Stephen Harmon, who goes by @cowboyatheart82, shared the video on Instagram earlier this month. In the caption, Harmon wrote, “Taking A Horse Inside Target.”

The footage showed Harmon riding a full-sized horse through the store while a companion recorded the moment. Some customers appeared amused by the unexpected sight, with one person briefly stopping to pet the horse as it passed by.

Store employees quickly attempted to intervene as the horse continued through the aisles. Voices could be heard objecting to the stunt, with one employee shouting, “What are you doing?” and another telling him to leave the store.

As Harmon made his way through the store, the horse defecated on the floor multiple times. In the background, the person filming reacted audibly to what had happened.

Despite employees trying to stop the situation, Harmon continued riding through the store before eventually exiting. One worker could be heard saying that a horse did not belong inside the store.

The video soon spread across social media platforms, where it drew millions of views and a flood of reactions. Commentators shared the clip as users weighed in with jokes, disbelief and criticism.

One commenter wrote, “Love this video. Just next time you go in a facility, put something back there to catch the poop. That’s so rude and disrespectful to leave for someone else to have to clean.” Others echoed similar concerns about who was responsible for handling the mess.

“Now who cleaned up the horse? Not going to lie, I’d be really upset about that,” another person commented. The question of cleanup became a major point of frustration for viewers.

Some commenters tried to strike a middle ground, acknowledging the humor while criticizing the impact on workers. “I do think the video was funny but I don’t think it was cool that the horse pooped in the store,” one viewer wrote, adding that store employees “shouldn’t have to clean up the poo.”

According to his social media, this was not the first time Harmon had brought a horse into a store. A previous video showed him riding the same horse into a Tractor Supply location, where a manager told him the stunt was a liability and asked him to leave.
