  • Could this be the first meme of 2026? It comes from Alabama Barker’s Christmas haul, when she shows off a pair of high heels and says, “Nasty. With a Pucci outfit? Nasty.”

  • Right after Christmas, a bunch of women went on TikTok to show off the crappy or inaccurate presents that their boyfriends/partners/husbands/whatever got them. One lady got her fiancĂ© an Xbox. He got her a butter dish. She deleted the video, then posted another one defending him.

Now, for mug-gate. Another woman asked her boyfriend for a mug that she could hold like a bowl. He got her a regular-ass mug. However, many commenters say that she should have specifically asked him for a bowl mug or a latte bowl, which is apparently what they are called. She was also very rude about it and said, “Womp womp,” out loud to his face as she opened it.

  • Entering the year of 2026, the #1 viral song on TikTok is BOO, by H3adband. It has a little dance that goes with it, naturally.

  • A year-end trend was for people to post their 2025 achievement cakes, where they stick a little flag into a cake to celebrate their various achievements of the year.
  • Crowds of people stood at the Brooklyn Bridge for hours waiting for a fireworks display that never happened. As it turns out, a few TikTok accounts reused old footage of July 4th fireworks on the bridge, and it fooled a lot of people.
  • Tara Lynn, the influencer who paid $10k to go to a Harry Styles concert, asked her followers if any of them had a specific halter top that she borrow for New Year’s Eve. One follower agreed to loan it to her, but then didn’t reply. So Tara dragged her online to all of her 5.2 million followers. As it turns out, the follower is an E.R. nurse who couldn’t reply because she had to work until 3 a.m.
  • Do you enjoy goofy yet mildly annoying internet in-jokes? Then take a gander at the button saga. A girl posted that she was going to give herself 365 buttons for every day of 2026 to encourage herself to do more things. The comments section did. Not. Understand it. Reams and reams of comments asking about the buttons, criticizing the buttons, asking her to clarify about the buttons. She kept it cute and trolled them right back, and now she is a meme.
  • Here is another one: a Top Golf net in Auburn Hills, MI, tumbled down due to high winds and snow. A guy named Logan commented, “They better have that fixed by January 9th my work Christmas party is there.” And now, Logan is a legendary meme in the TikTok comments.
  • Men are not okay. the hosts of the somehow popular podcast 2 Bears 1 Cave asked each other, “If we were to run a rain on one of our wives, which one would it be?” They are being dragged to hell, but, naturally, there are still plenty of guys defending them.

  • Speaking of men, numerous women have gone viral on TikTok for posting “the divorce effect,” or their incredible glowups after getting divorced.
  • A woman got kicked out of her Bunco club because she needed to bring her baby and her adult sister, who has special needs. The group took a vote in front of everyone, including her, and voted her out. Still, some people find her story a little sus, as they have not heard the bunco club’s side of things.
  • According to FashionTok, Napoleon jackets will be the trendy clothing item of 2026.

  • After Candace Nelson, the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes, sold her company to private equity, she is shocked — shocked! — that private equity decided to private equity and shut it down. There is not a SINGLE positive comment in her comments section!
  • British Chinese food. It is now a thing of curiosity on TikTok, as Americans marvel — nay, gawk — at the concept of serving Chinese food with an order of fries (chips, if you speak British).

    Well?

    With a Pucci outfit?
