Strictly’s Jowita Przystal reveals whether she’s leaving the show after sparking fears among fans with ‘last dance’ post

Jowita Przystal has shared a message to fans clarifying whether she’s leaving Strictly Come Dancing, after an Instagram post sparked fears she had quit.

The professional dancer, 31, was reunited with her celebrity partner, Ross King, during the emotional Strictly finale on Saturday night.

And she took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet selfie of the pair together backstage, as they prepared to join the rest of this series’ contestants for a group dance.

But, the post provoked speculation that Jowita was bidding goodbye to the ballroom, as she captioned the snap: ‘last dance partner on strictly floor x @therossking’.

Fans raced to social media to question the meaning of the post, writing: ‘Is this her last year?’; ‘Has Jowita hinted that she’s leaving Strictly’; ‘you’re sending us into a panic girl’.

The polish dancer joined Strictly back in 2021, going on to win the show in her first year with partner Hamza Yassin.

Sharing a group photo of all the professional dancers together ahead of their opening group number, she gushed: ‘So grateful for being part of the best show on tv.

‘And just to clarify my last post, it was about my last dance with Ross, not me leaving the show. Hopefully far from my last dance on that dance floor’.

Jowita also took to her Instagram grid to heap praise on this year’s champions, ex-footballer Karen Carney and pro Carlos Gu.

Sharing a video of the dancers reacting to the moment that they were announced as the winners, she wrote: ‘What a night ♥️ Massive congratulations to our 2025 Strictly Champions!

There were a number of emotional tributes to the duo, including a special compilation video with messages from the Strictly crew and Mary Berry.

And the pair were left blown away after being surprised by a letter from Queen Camilla herself, which was read out by judge Craig Revel Horwood.

It said: ‘Tess and Claudia, as you prepare to take your final twirl, I just want to say thank you on behalf of the millions who watch you each week.

‘I have often thought that Strictly is not so much a show about dancing as about friendships, the bonds forged, the struggles overcome, and the joy shared in undertaking a joint endeavour.

‘If that is true, then perhaps yours has been the greatest strictly partnership of all. The warmth, compassion, and sheer happiness you have radiated with and from each other has been at the heart of the show’s success.
