The Florida-based rapper Plies has released a video that sends a very powerful and loud message against hypocrisy, and the result is that the social media has gone haywire. He has mainly and publicly communicated his feelings for almost 1.5 minutes and he has been one of the few who not only criticize the actions but also expect the opposite to be true at the same time. The artist’s candidness about the elitists has surely gone down well with the audience.

Plies did not mince his words at all. In a video posted, he was indeed very near the truth, and it was evident that he was very upset and also amazed. His text on the screen was not lengthy but very potent: “😡 Don’t Talk Shit To Me & Need Me!!!!!!!” The video showed almost two minutes of constant flowing thoughts of the audacity of people who are done with their master.

He went on to explain his viewpoint in a manner that the listeners could not misinterpret. “If you wanna talk shit to me? Then don’t motherfucking need me for nothing,” he said with increasing loudness and clarity. He questioned the reasoning or the absence of such reasoning behind the people’s actions and suggested that anyone who behaves that way “must be slow.” The tirade was characterized by his use of strong language and great imagery, one of which was that classes in the high school would be “outside in the motherfucking portables.” The crux of the matter was to be firm and not rely on others: if one wants to act like a big shot, then everyone has to be really sure that the person is giving up that position by turning around with the palm out.

The response was immediate as well as very supportive. It seems that Plies articulated a frustration that exists in different places. One person expressed the overall sentiment in a very concise manner when he said, “The audacity on ppl is REAL ! 😂😂” Just that comment received a lot of support with replies just saying “right!!!!!” and “exactly!!!!” It was a launch pad for a broader discussion.

A lot of users have pointed out the same way as Plies did but using their own ways of stating the same fact. “You can’t be nasty AND needy‼️‼️‼️” one user yelled while another turned their negativity around: “Nope- Can’t b nasty n needy-.” It appears that this expression was widely accepted as one user commented, “My grandma used to say ‘you can’t be nasty and needy’ all the time. 🎯💯.” It’s clear that this is not a new problem but Plies still managed to give it a fresh and catchy voice.

Nevertheless, some commenters even took the original argument further by talking about a stronger sense of entitlement. “It’s the audacity of the entitlement folks have,” commented one observer. Another user provided a very thorough breakdown of the issue, contending, “Those are the ones always talking shit… They will dog you out to your face and behind your back and then have the audacity to need you… As if you’ve forgotten all the BS.” This user pointed out the psychological damage of such an uneven relationship and the utter contempt involved in it.

However, people did not overlook the humorous aspect of the situation. The latent anger of Plies was the cause of some user reactions. One user wondered, “Who done made Plies mad😂😂?” Another was sarcastically asking, “Now which one of y’all done pissed Plies off? Leave my unc alone.” Even a third person simply praised the quality of the performance: “PAY THE CAUSE TO BE THE BOSS REAL TALK PERIOD🤣🤣.”

The post still served as an unplanned birthday shout-out amidst laughs and general agreement, with one mom wishing her son a happy birthday in the comments while thanking Plies for the indirect spotlight. Nonetheless, the main situation remained clear: Plies had set a limit that was accepted by a large population. In a society that often finds it hard to know how to handle the other person, particularly when it is a matter of speaking the language of the opposite party, he was asking for just one thing from both parties: respect and autonomy. The moment the rapper went viral is less about celebrity gossip and more of a collective sigh of approval, a reminder of the rule not to burn the bridges that you will still have to cross.
