Meghan Markle is back in her element in season 2 of With Love, Meghan on Netflix, and the first official trailer was loaded with details.
It was announced on Aug. 12 that the second season of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle series will premiere on Aug. 26, and the update came with the first preview of the show.
Set to the song “Rockin’ Robin” by Bobby Day, the trailer showed Meghan cooking, crafting and spending time with friends new and old. The upcoming installment was seemingly filmed at the same Montecito location as season one of With Love, Meghan – and the Duchess of Sussex previously told PEOPLE why she didn’t film at home.
“I wanted to protect that safe haven. We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day,” Meghan said in an exclusive interview earlier this year, referring to her daughter, Princess Lilibet, 4.
“Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!” she added.
Meghan and Prince Harry live in the Santa Barbara enclave of Montecito with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet.
While Harry and the children didn’t appear in the trailer for With Love’s second season, another loved one made a cameo: their family dog, Momma Mia.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex adopted the senior beagle in 2022 as one of the 4,000 beagles rescued from a Virginia breeding facility owned by Envigo RMS. Momma Mia expanded the family, as Meghan and Harry already had another rescue beagle, Guy, whose death Meghan announced in January, and a black Labrador named Pula.

It was confirmed that season 2 of Meghan’s series will welcome Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, Jay Shetty, Radhi Devlukia, José Andrés, Clare Smyth, David Chang and Samin Nosrat as guests, with Meghan’s friends Jamie Kern Lima, Heather Dorak and Daniel Martin also joining.
Martin makes a repeat appearance, as the makeup artist behind Meghan’s glam for her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry also appeared in season one of With Love.
The trailer rolled to show the Duchess of Sussex visiting what appeared to be a bookstore and then a fish market, with the latter connecting to a recipe she made in the first season of With Love, Meghan. In the first season, Meghan showed her friends Abigail Spencer and Kelly McKee Zajfen how to salt bake a fish, as inspired by how she previously prepared trout that Prince Archie caught on vacation.

Another standout snippet was when Andrés and Meghan ate food from an unusual kitchen contraption.
“Everybody should have one of those at home,” said the celebrity chef and founder of World Central Kitchen, a longtime partner of Prince Harry and Meghan’s charitable Archewell Foundation.
“You think so?” Meghan asked about the intense gadget.
Later in the preview, the camera zoomed in on the thumbprint cookies, which were seemingly inspired by the same recipe Meghan has shown before on Instagram.
In March, the Duchess of Sussex posted a video of herself baking the same cookies with a little help from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as McKee Zajfen and Clare Waight Keller, her friend and wedding dress designer. The group whipping up the sweet treat for the studio audience of The Drew Barrymore Show episode Meghan appeared on the following day.
“There are easy ways to show up lovingly,” Meghan said in the new With Love trailer, as she moved the cookies into a parchment-lined gift box.
A moment towards the close of the clip was when the Duchess of Sussex joked to Nosrat, the bestselling author of Salt Fat Acid Heat and host of the Netflix series of the same name, “We don’t need to make a salad, let’s just go and eat cheese.”
“You know that’s my life dream, right?” the chef said, and they both laughed.

In a voiceover that rolled over Meghan, Martin and others around a bonfire, the Duchess of Sussex said, “I love these moments of discovery and beauty, so let’s be curious together.”
Season 2 of With Love, Meghan premieres on Tuesday, Aug. 26, the latest endeavor from Meghan and Harry’s partnership with Netflix.
The season 2 news was announced the day after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced with Netflix that they are extending their creative partnership through their Archewell Productions hub with a multi-year, first-look deal for film and television projects.
The update came after The Sun reported in late July that Harry and Meghan’s multi-year Netflix deal, worth a reported $100 million, won’t be renewed when it expires in September.
