Ben Griffin‘s wedding was a hole-in-one!

The 29-year-old professional golfer took a swing at forever by saying “I do” to Dana Myeroff on Saturday, Dec. 6, at The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Fla. The couple’s nuptials were attended by 125 guests, and themed “refined tropical luxury” with décor “inspired by India Hicks and Ralph Lauren.”

“Weddings are typically the one time in your life that you both have everyone you love in one place to celebrate,” Myeroff tells PEOPLE. “We really wanted the guest experience to be top of mind, [and for] our guests, most of whom are traveling from out of state, to experience the magic of Palm Beach.”

Griffin and Myeroff were “on the road” most of the year due to the PGA Tour star’s “really demanding schedule,” so they relied heavily on their wedding planner, Meredith Falk of GLDN Events, to craft their dream wedding weekend.

The festivities began on Thursday, Dec. 4, with a family-only dinner at upscale-casual restaurant Buccan, followed by time back at The Colony Hotel’s bar with everyone in town. The next afternoon, on Friday, Dec. 5, was a rehearsal lunch aboard the private yacht Mariner III, then a welcome party at The Brazilian Court Hotel.

At the “teary-eyed” ceremony on Saturday, guests found their seats as a string trio played “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John. Myeroff’s nephew, Wesley, and her cousin’s daughter, Blake, were the ring bearer and flower girl, respectively.

Myeroff turned heads wearing the “chic and timeless” Loyola gown by Anne Barge, accessorizing the arched strapless A-line dress with a veil and satin bow belt by the same designer. She walked down the aisle to the tune of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

“I tried on this dress in the Anne Barge N.Y.C. showroom and fell in love immediately. It was exactly the elegant vibe I was looking for,” says Myeroff, whose hair and makeup were done by Ivette Gil Beauty Design.

The bride later changed into Clio Peppiatt’s strapless scalloped embellished taffeta gown, paired with Aquazzura high heels for the reception, and for the afterparty at Cucina, she wore the Alexis Lily dress matched with Manolo Blahnik’s anista nappa leather ankle-wrap sandals.

“We were really excited to read vows to each other that we wrote during the wedding ceremony — that felt so special to us,” Myeroff shares.

The ceremony was officiated by Doug Sieg, the CEO of money management firm Lord Abbett. The choice was sentimental because Sieg helped fund Griffin’s golf comeback after he briefly quit the sport in 2021.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed sushi during cocktail hour. Because the wedding incorporated “botanical garden party elements for a sophisticated ode to classic Palm Beach,” it was only fitting that wildlife also be included.

“With The Colony’s logo being a monkey, and shown on our wedding stationery, we really wanted to include an actual monkey and flamingos during our cocktail hour,” Myeroff explains. “This felt so unique to The Colony and such a fun way to kick off the party.”

At the reception, the guests — who were encouraged to donate to youth sports via the Ben and Dana Griffin Foundation in lieu of giving traditional wedding gifts — enjoyed a duet entrée and slices of a vegan wedding cake baked by Sweet Guilt with three flavors: Madagascar vanilla, rose champagne, and marble. They also looked on as the newlyweds danced to “You’re All I Need to Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

“We took ballroom dance lessons leading up to this, and it was such a fun date night!” Myeroff says.

Griffin and Myeroff met a few years ago during a night out in Florida. After just over two years of dating, Griffin popped the question before dinner in Sea Island, Ga. After Myeroff accepted the proposal, she was left “completely speechless” because both their families ran out to congratulate and celebrate them. In a sweet surprise, Griffin had secretly arranged for their families to fly in from across the country.

The couple is now “excited to enjoy married life for a little, and start a family one day.” They also have plans to sail around the Caribbean and St. Barts on a catamaran.
