Carly Pearce is on the mend after a freak accident.
In a new TikTok posted on Saturday (August 9), the 35-year-old country music singer revealed that she had to go to the hospital for stitches after injuring herself while trying to open a bottle of ranch.
Keep reading to find out more…“Get ready with me with one hand,” Carly joked. “So, last night, I was getting ready to eat dinner after my show, and I went to open a bottle of ranch dressing that was a glass bottle. When I went to open the bottle of ranch, it snapped off and a piece of glass cut my thumb.”
While she initially thought the injury was no big deal, Carly decided to be extra safe and went to get it checked out by professionals
“All of a sudden, I thought that ketchup was running down my hand, and it actually was blood,” she said. “We had a few paramedics on-site at the show, so we decided just to have a look at it…And they told me I needed a few stitches.”
Carly was told the injury to her thumb was “pretty deep,” so it would be best to go to the hospital.
“What I didn’t know was that the ride to the ER would be in an ambulance, and it’s policy that the patient has to sit on the stretcher and be strapped in,” she explained.
After getting an x-ray and stitches — with some “painful” numbing cream — Carly was able to go home.
“I’m kind of figuring out how to do things, not the way that I would,” she said while trying to apply makeup “My assistant almost had to shave my left armpit because I didn’t think I could reach it…It is interesting trying to figure out how to do these normal things, like pull your pants up after you pee.”
Carly is scheduled to perform at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif. on Thursday, August 14, and while she normally holds her microphone with her injured hand, she’s hoping to push through and put on a great show for fans.
“The moral of the story is be careful when you’re opening up things,” Carly added. “And don’t go — like my mother says I do — like a bull in a china cabinet.”
Last year, Carly addressed the wild conspiracy theory that she supports Satan.
