Tara Reid is defending her previous claims that she was drugged at a Rosemont, Ill., hotel on Nov. 23, despite police saying there is no video evidence.
The actress claimed in a Nov. 25 police report that she was taken out on a stretcher from the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare Airport — Rosemont because she was drugged by a stranger after having one drink.
However, on Wednesday, Dec. 3, the Rosemont Public Safety Department told PEOPLE that the surveillance footage does not indicate that Reid was drugged at the hotel.
“Bottom line is no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink,” Reid began in a statement provided to PEOPLE by her representative.

The actress, 50, claims the “last thing” she remembered was “having one drink and waking up in the hospital the next day without remembering anything.”
“That was the scariest feeling I have ever felt,” she said, adding that she “felt so helpless.”
The “horrifying experience” has been “severely affecting” her “mental health,” Reid continued. “I cannot sleep over this it’s a very scary feeling not knowing what happened to me.”
“I believe I was drugged. Something happened to me,” she concluded.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Rosemont Public Safety Department said in a statement that video did not “show anyone tampering with or adding something to [Reid’s] drink,” but they “can confirm that a bartender covered her drink when she left the bar which is standard practice for bartenders to do.”
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities and Reid are still waiting for hospital test results. The authorities cannot confirm which tests the hospital administered, police said.
“At this time there is no criminal act that has been committed and there is no one we are currently investigating,” police said, adding a reminder to not leave a drink unattended.

In Reid’s Nov. 25 police report, she said she “completely blacked out” after having a drink with a stranger while staying at the DoubleTree Hotel for a celebrity signing two days earlier. Initially, she said she attempted to file a police report once she returned to L.A., but “they said that I could not file one over the phone and had to be there in person.” She added that she was eventually allowed to file the report without having to return to Illinois.
In the report, Reid said she ordered a glass of white wine from the hotel bar and then “A man came up to me and introduced himself as Sean P, a very successful influencer and YouTuber,” and joined her at the bar.
They ended up going outside to have a cigarette and exchanged phone numbers. Once she returned inside, “there was a napkin over my drink,” she alleged.
“Then the last thing I remember was drinking that drink and seeing a couple sitting next to us. The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital around 8 hours or more later not knowing where I was or anything that happened. I completely blacked out with no recollection of anything,” she told police.
Video obtained by TMZ showed Reid seemingly unable to stand on her own as a man held her up, and a woman brought a wheelchair for her.
Reid’s agent picked her up from the hospital. They went back to the hotel so she could collect her belongings and then she returned to Los Angeles.

Reid also alleged in her police report that the influencer she met texted her the videos “the next day.” She considered it to be an extortion attempt as he allegedly told her he “could stop the videos [from] going out.” She also claimed that he confirmed that Reid only had one drink while they were together.
In a statement provided to PEOPLE, Rosemont police said that they had spoken with the YouTuber, and that “based on video and statements there is no evidence of any drinks being tampered with.”
In a Nov. 26 statement to PEOPLE, the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare Airport confirmed that as soon as “hotel staff observed a potential health concern involving a guest, our trained security team assisted and arranged for medical support.”
