A 30 second video has just been uploaded to the band’s Youtube, featuring frontwoman Florence Welch digging a hole and screaming into it.
The Florence + The Machine fandom has been on high alert for a while since she’s posted a few times on Instagram in recent weeks, which she usually does only to promote something. (The witch queen is not a big social media fan!) One of the posts contained an image saying “Octobre”, prompting speculation of an Octobre release. The most recent post featured a clip of background vocals being recorded as well what appears to be new lyrics:

The post also includes a sign saying “The Drink Deep Tavern”, sparking speculation that it’s a music video prop.
UPDATE: I checked the website before making this post like an hour ago and it was the same, but since then a new landing page has appeared! Unvealing a logo for what appears to be the new album.
