A brand new Frankenstein movie is in the works, and Sebastian Stan is set to lead!
Romanian filmmaker Radu Jude, known for Kontinental ’25 and the upcoming Dracula, revealed that his next project will be titled Frankenstein in Romania.
“I’m writing a film now,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a Frankenstein film in Romania. Frankenstein in Romania, it’s going to be called.”

He shared that he envisions Sebastian, who was born in Romania before moving to the U.S., playing both Victor Frankenstein and his monster. The story is said to combine the legend of Frankenstein with the real-life history of a secret CIA prison once located in Romania.
Sebastian and the director had previously talked about working together, but the director didn’t have the right idea until now. When he pitched the concept, Sebastian was on board.
