The visual grepping for the followers was just dropped by Sharon Stone. Six by five feet of abstract mayhem, with its burning reds, deep greens, and dreamy pinks, seems born for a universally loathed cosmic dance. It’s the kind of art that freezes people in their tracks; they must stop scrolling. Pronto, everyone is going crazy with it.

The picture itself is hypnotic, as swirling floral forms liquefy slowly into bold strokes, colors alive in layers of movement. Somehow some strokes are soft and airy, while others seem like a bolt of lightning. It’s the gorgeous kind of chaos: sunset meets storm, and they birthed this. Stone herself divulged very little about the artwork, save for the title and a signature so that people could each take in the wild energy emanated from the canvas.

Next came the reactions; someone called it “absolutely awesome,” and another said that just watching the painting made that person’s morning better. Another joked that they’d give anything to climb inside the painting and live there. Honestly, we’re inclined to agree. The colors are that mesmerizing.

The less-than-straight compliments were almost immediately rebuked. Going down a spiritual path, they went as far as comparing the painting to the Lion Gate at Mycenae in Greece – a spiritual portal, apparently. And Stone’s is close.

An ardent fan declared that this was something to be printed and hung in one’s office every day for inspiration. I can’t blame them. This piece with its bold, aggressive colors and free-wheeling composition seems like some grease for creative engines. Then show-up-a-few artists wondering about her technique and did she use oils? (No reply yet—the texture does scream oil, though.)

Some comments deserve a mad hatter parade of refutation, though. “Tastes of sugary, salty brushes” and “flavor” were offered by one commenter, which begs-what? Perhaps they were too much into the vibes of the painting. Or just very hungry. Art does something to people.

If the artist clears whether this is a series or a single big galactic blast of creativity, I can’t be sure but, with all this clatter around it, would not galleries be knocking at her door anytime? Either there will be a credible fandom actually clamoring for it, or this is something. It’s that kind of art; it’s mood; it’s moment; it’s loss-of-slip style. Stone has inevitably launched an announcement on the world’s notice that she is no longer an icon in front of the camera but now an icon of sorts in the back of the camera.

The post also birthed playful demands, one of which had someone ask Stone to paint their “intertwined souls.” That’s a bold ask. Are you serious? Someone else suggested an amicable collaboration; for, why not put more talent into this colorful chaos?

Whatever the consideration, spiritual or emotional or just plain gorgeous, one sure thing is that Sharon Stone art is different. And Biigraphs want more. Now the real question is where the gorgeous woman is going to hang something this huge. Somewhere with good light, hopefully.
