The network decided not to renew the Natasha Lyonne-led, Rian Johnson-created series for a third season.

However, Rian “has a plan” for the show to find a home elsewhere, The Wrap reports.
According to the report, he’s going to “shop the show around other streamers/broadcasters with the goal of a two-season commitment.”
However, the new seasons would not include Natasha as a series star, which she and Rian agreed on. She’d still stay onboard as an executive producer, however.
Peter Dinklage would reportedly take over the role of Charlie Cale.
“We’ve been germinating this next move together since writing the season two finale. We love our Poker Face and this is the perfect way to keep it rolling. Give us a beat and we may just see Charlie Cale again down that open highway,” the two said to Deadline.
Rian‘s hope is for the franchise to “evolve with a new actor to play the lead character every two years,” starting with the Game of Thrones actor, per the report.
As for why the show got cancelled at the network, despite being one of the most-watched series on Peacock?
“The show is expensive and the ratings were down a bit from a first season filled with critical raves and Emmy nominations. Then again, costs are comparable to other shows with similar casts and quality,” Deadline noted.
