Adele is taking on her first acting role.
The 37-year-old “Hello” singer will appear in Tom Ford‘s upcoming project, Cry to Heaven.

Tom is directing, writing and producing the film, which is an adaptation of Anne Rice’s 1982 book that centers around a Venetian noble and a castrated Opera singer whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined, per Variety.
It’s now in pre-production in Rome and London, and principal photography starts at the top of next year in January, with a tentative release window of Fall 2026.
The cast is absolutely star-studded, and will also feature Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Ciaran Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Owen Cooper, Daniel Quinn Toye, Hunter Schaffer, Josephine Thiesen, Thandiwe Newton, Theodore Pellerin, Daryl McCormack, Cassian Bilton, Hauk Hannenmann and Lux Pascal.
She addressed whether she’d ever act two years ago, and had a very definitive answer at the time.
