The public-friendly series Landman has unveiled its fresh season’s cast made up of the well-known actors, with a new social media post. The post simply stated “Absolutely stacked cast” and the release date, giving the celebrities the power to speak for themselves. The picture included pivotal actors like Sam Elliott, Andy Garcia, and Demi Moore, among others. A few internet users mentioned the controversies regarding the names and the pictures in the promotional materials.
The fans were really excited and their reactions came immediately. One of them said: “Can’t wait. One of the best shows on” while another said: “this show is amazing!!!” The viewers were all in agreement when it came to showing their love for the show, with many calling it their “favorite show” and others praising the “killer cast”.
Numerous comments were directed at particular cast members. One user put his opinion in a simple way and just said: “Sam Elliot and Andy Garcia. Fire”, while another pointed out “I am convinced Sam Elliott is immortal,” alluding to the actor’s long-lasting presence. Another user, in particular, mentioned the excitement of having performer Stefania Spampinato in the coming season.
On the other hand, not all the comments were of a purely celebratory nature. Some watchers expressed doubts concerning the destinies of the previously featured characters. One fan inquired, “Why did they kill off Jon Hamm though?” in relation to the actor’s departure from the series. Another one was asking, “Where are Ainsley, Cooper, and Rebecca?” showing confusion about the characters’ possible return.
The call for casting made by the producers was seen as both, an award and a reproach, at the same time. One user said that the series contained “unnecessary tacky female storylines” that “could have been much better thought out.” Another writing was more direct “Taylor is leaving. Paramount lost a good man. Now Season 2 looks pointless,” indicating that the change in personnel might hurt the future direction of the show.
Some people who watched the promotional video thought they saw flaws in it. “i love it when the names dont match the people,” one user sarcastically wrote, and another said “have the names wrong on the photos..lol.” This was supported by numerous viewers who were following the cast announcement.
However, these minor disagreements did not influence the fact that a large portion of the audience was still very optimistic about the show. “Okay this lineup is insane — definitely tuning in,” was one of the comments that indicated the overall mood, while another user, by saying “30 seasons please!!!” voiced the demand of highly interested viewers. The series seems to have retained the audience’s loyalty, which is very important for its new season.
Since the very first episode, the series has been able to attract a loyal viewership and there are already many viewers who are wishing for more seasons. “Best show renewed for the third-fifth season,” one fan was very optimistic about the future of the show, and that was the overall belief reflected in his comment.
