Scheana Shay‘s husband Brock Davies is sharing his first public comments after she revealed that he had an affair.
In her new memoir My Good Side, the 40-year-old former Vanderpump Rules star revealed that Brock, 34, had an affair back in 2020 when she was pregnant with their daughter Summer, now 4.
During the Friday (July 25) episode of Scheana‘s podcast, Scheananigans, looked back at why he cheated.

“It happened multiple times over a three-week span, and I felt horrible about it,” he added. “I was like, ‘This is not okay, not doing this.’ And I pulled the pin and then I forgot about it.”
When he tried to understand why he cheated on Scheana, Brock – who also has two children, Eli and Winter, that live with his ex-wife in his native Australia – connected it to his fear of having another child.
“I was scared of being a parent again,” Brock explained. “I believed what I read. I believed I was a bad dad, I believed a lot of that stuff and I just used that as an easy way out. The reality is you just gotta do the work.”
Brock kept his affair a secret from Scheana for nearly three years before ultimately telling her in 2023 in the wake of Scandoval, which was when the world found out that Tom Sandoval was having an affair with Rachel Leviss while he was still in a relationship with Ariana Madix.
“In this situation, I wrote it in a letter and tried to forget about it,” Brock recalled. “I believed I was never going to do it again and we could just move past this.”
Brock then said that he kept the affair a secret for so long because he wasn’t thinking about anyone but himself during that time.
“I was just protecting myself,” he explained. “I was an absolute coward. That man was a coward. He wasn’t thinking about protecting you, he was just thinking about protecting himself, saving his face.”
Brock made sure to tell Scheana how much he admires her for detailing such a difficult time in their lives publicly and took accountability for his actions.
“I’m proud of you for telling your story,” Brock told his wife, “and I’m sorry for this being part of your story.”
“I was not willing to face the music,” he continued. “So, when you told me about that it, I said, ‘I support you, and then I will read it once you have written your book, because I don’t want to have any influence on it.’ It’s not about the book per se, I’d rather just talk about and take accountability for my actions that are in the book.”
As for why she included Brock‘s affair in her new book, Scheana said it would have felt dishonest if she didn’t share such a major moment while retelling her life’s story.
“This story isn’t a stunt,” Scheana explained. “It’s not this thing to true to sell books. It’s our real story…sharing this story when and how I did was about agency.”
If you missed it, Lisa Vanderpump reacted to Scheana saying she exploited her to build her TV empire.
