Host Howard Stern asked her if she finds it hard to “let go of a boyfriend” and Jennifer joked, “No. Once I’m done, you’re dead to me.”

“I’m going to get in trouble. This is why I never wanted to come on here… Because I would get in trouble….” she laughs, referring to the fact it is her Howard Stern Show debut.

“No but I’m one of those people I don’t hold on to be honest. Like, not dead to me, but definitely like, it’s over. I’m gonna move on. And so we didn’t really keep in touch and I wasn’t angry at him at all in any way shape or form.”

“Does it seem like everything is doomed from the beginning?” Howard asked.

“No, no. I don’t feel that. I feel that I lived my life very out loud, even though I was in the public eye. And I wanted to share my life with someone,” she says, “I want someone to be there when I’m having my big important moments on the red carpet. I want someone to be there, you know, when I’m doing whatever, or when we’re going to the store, whatever it is.”

Jennifer continued, “Like, I wanted to share that. And so I didn’t hide from it. And I spoke about it. And I think now, after what’s happened in the past few years to me and to my children, I just feel like I want to keep that part so much more quiet in my life. And it’s hard because these are big moments in your life, you wanna share them with everybody and you think that’s okay.”

“But the truth is, when you’re in this type of career and you have the type of level of fame that we’re talking about, there is a compromise. You have, there are adjustments that you do need to make because it is a very blessed life,” she concluded.

From there, the conversation turned to whether or not the “On the Floor” singer feels she has ever “truly been loved” and it might shock some fans to hear that she says, “No.”

“No. And do you think you really have experienced loving someone?” The radio broadcaster followed up.

To that she said yes, but explained that she’s learned it’s “not that I’m not lovable. It’s that they’re not capable.”

“They don’t have it in them. They need to appreciate the little person inside of them. They need to love them,” Jennifer added.

Jennifer recently reunited with her ex-husband Ben Affleck at the premiere of her new film. See the photos here!
