We have a new update on the Red, White & Royal Blue sequel movie!
It’s been over a year since the sequel was first officially announced, and now, a title and a new director have just been revealed.

According to Variety, Jamie Babbit is taking over directorial duties from the first movie’s co-writer/director Matthew Lopez. Jamie is best known for directing the cult classic But I’m a Cheerleader, as well as over 100 episodes of television, including on such shows as Only Murders in the Building, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Nip/Tuck, Gilmore Girls, Drop Dead Diva, Silicon Valley and more!
The new title? Red, White & Royal Wedding.
Matthew is still on board the project that he has been developing with author Casey McQuiston. The pair will serve as producers and have co-written the script with Gemma Burgess.
In addition, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are returning to produce, along with Michael McGrath and Jennifer Salke.
Stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine will reprise their roles, with more co-stars expected to return!
