The countdown is officially on for an “explosive” new season of Selling Sunset.
“We’ve seen the new season. We already shot the reunion. It’s a lot,” Nicole Young exclusively shared with Us Weekly while attending the 2nd Annual Gurus Awards, presented by Gurus Magazine, on Sunday, October 12. “I think I’m very curious to see viewers’ reactions, because things kind of get flipped upside down, especially when you see how things kind of end up in the reunion.”
If Nicole was to predict the future, she wouldn’t be surprised if viewers have some new favorites by the time season 9 comes to an end.
“I think some people’s favorite people might change in both directions,” she teased. “It’s gonna be very interesting to see.”
Over the summer, Netflix first confirmed that Selling Sunset season 9 would be premiering on October 29.
The streaming service revealed Sofía Vergara’s sister, Sandra Vergara, would be joining The O Group, vying for the most exclusive listings alongside returning cast members Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Alaina Gold, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Bre Tiesi, Nicole and Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
With less than three weeks to go until the premiere, fans — and even some cast members — are wondering when the official trailer will finally drop.

“They are reediting it,” Mary told Us on Sunday at Derek Warburton’s 1920’s themed event held at Cicada Restaurant & Lounge in Los Angeles. “I don’t know why, and I’m a little scared but they said they wanted to make some edits again.”
Nicole added, “They haven’t told us [the release date] yet, but I would guess any day now.”
For now, both Nicole and Mary agree with Chrishell’s previous tease to Us — that season 9 starts off “explosive.”
“I do agree with that word. It was out of control,” Mary explained. “Whenever I feel like I’m going to have a mental breakdown, the world’s going to love it.”

As for Nicole, there’s one scene she really doesn’t want to relive again. Unfortunately, Selling Sunset isn’t just about open houses and million-dollar homes.
“There’s one scene in particular that everyone will know when they watch it. That is intense,” she teased. “Explosive? I would agree with that word. It’s a lot. Like I said, you will have no question [regarding] the scene I’m talking about.”
Although it’s been nearly 11 months since the scene in question was filmed, Nicole still gets nervous thinking about what went down.
“I mean, it was a bit of a PTSD moment afterwards,” she said. “So, you know, it’s hard having to relive it.”
Fortunately, both Mary and Nicole enjoyed a drama-free night at the 2025 Gurus Awards. The pair joined Romain Bonnet in awarding Jason the winner of the Civic Leadership Award.
The title is given to someone who uses their influence to give back and strengthen the community that shaped them. According to Gurus Magazine, Jason continues to uplift causes that promote education, opportunity and local empowerment.
Selling Sunset season 9 is available to stream on Netflix starting Wednesday, October 29.
