Marc Maron ended his long running WTF podcast after 16 years and 1686 episodes. His final guest was Barack Obama. In June Marc announced he would be ending his podcast this year, and in a July interview, he mentioned that Obama would be his ideal final guest.
Maron said, “I feel like I’m sort of ready for the break, but there is sort of a fear there, of what do I do now?” Obama’s advice: “Don’t rush into what the next thing is. Take a beat. Take some satisfaction looking backwards.” Maron’s final words on his last episode was a tribute to his many cats: “Cat angels everywhere.”
