Travis Kelce Rocks Woodsman-Coded Outfit to Chiefs Game Against the Detroit Lions

For the life of a football player, Travis Kelce’s got style.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, turned the tunnels of Arrowhead Stadium into his runway hours before taking on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Kelce stepped out in an brown, plaid outfit that has fans comparing the autumnal vibe to that of a woodsman, seemingly another subtle nod to his fiancée Taylor Swift’s song “Wood” off her recently released album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The top was a $1,690 long-sleeved shirt by Louis Vuitton, with the fashion brand’s iconic monogram printed all over in shades of brown, complete with a classic, white collar. He paired it with tan cargo pants.

As for Kelce’s accessories, he wore brown shades and white sneakers to tie his look together.

This wasn’t the first time the three-time Super Bowl champion’s outfit paid subtle homage to Swift’s 12th studio album.

Swift’s song “Wood” is believed to be about football player, and seemed to have influenced Kelce’s woodland-inspired shirt ahead of the Chiefs game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which took place on Monday, Oct. 6.

Kelce stepped out in the now-sold out “ALFRE” shirt ($2,650) from J. Logan Home, a sustainable luxury brand based in Palm Beach, Fla. The top was handmade from three vintage designer scarves and finished with repurposed buttons that match.

The shirt itself boasts earthy colors, such as various shades of browns and greens. It also includes a woodland scene of sticks, grass, leaves, feathers and ducks — perhaps, even a wood duck or two.

Clipped onto his duffel bag was a “Just for a Moment 5 Panel Hat” from One of These Days in the shade Hunter Orange, which is likely a nod to both the woodsy theme and The Life of a Showgirl orange aesthetic.

In the days that followed, Kelce — who announced his engagement to the pop superstar in August — has been incorporating the record’s orange and mint green color aesthetic into his outfits. He’s also hinted at some song themes, too.

Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, has also been wearing outfits with not-so subtle nods to her future daughter in law.

When attending the Chiefs game last week, the NFL mom wore an ensemble filled with Swift-related details, wearing her heart on her sleeve (and hat! and jewelry!) in support of the singer and her son.

In classic Donna fashion, she rocked her son’s red No. 87 Kansas City Chiefs jersey to the game at EverBank Stadium. But this time, she accessorized differently than she has in the past.

Donna wore a baseball hat that featured a doodle of the singer’s face with a pair of “1989” sunshades. The animation of the singer was surrounded by Swift-themed graphics.

Monday’s game wasn’t the first time Donna has been spotted wearing the Grammy- winning singer-inspired baseball cap.
