Are Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck getting back together?
After the singer and actress, 56, and the actor, 53, had a friendly and surprise reunion at the New York City premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman, a source tells PEOPLE a rekindled romance is not in the cards for the pair.
“Jennifer’s doing well. She’s focused on things that make her happy — family and work,” the insider says of Lopez.
“She always enjoyed working with Ben, this hasn’t changed,” they continue, adding: “There’s no romantic reunion with Ben.”
“They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other. They’re both proud of what they accomplished together,” the source further explains.

Affleck and Lopez met in 2002 and began dating. After ending their engagement in 2004, they both pursued other relationships and started families of their own.
The “All I Have” musician was married to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, and they are parents to twins Max and Emme. The Accountant 2 star, meanwhile, was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they have three kids together: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

Lopez and Affleck later rekindled their romance in 2021. They married in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, and they then celebrated their nuptials with a ceremony in Georgia in front of friends and family a month later.
The pair eventually decided to split, and Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years later, citing irreconcilable differences.

Lopez’s upcoming musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman, sees Affleck serve as an executive producer. Artist Equity, his production company with Matt Damon, co-produced the movie.
At the New York City premiere of the film, Affleck told Lopez she is “incredible” and praised director Bill Condon for doing an “amazing job” with the project.
“My goal was to empower great artists and tell moving stories and great opportunities for these kinds of great stories to be told and to work with the best directors in the world and the best material,” the actor said in an introduction to the film. “In this movie, we did all that, and it’s an honor to be here.”
During a recent CBS News Sunday Morning, as she recalled working on the film while dealing with a tumultuous period with Affleck in her personal life, Lopez said, “It was a really tough time. Every moment on set, every moment I was doing this role, I was so happy, and then it was like, back home, it was not great. And it was just like, oh, you know, ‘How do I reconcile this?’ ”
Kiss of the Spider Woman, also starring Diego Luna and Tonatiuh, will be released in theaters on Oct. 10.
