The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recognized for their efforts to build a better online world for families and youth, as well as for their strides to advance mental well-being worldwide, through their Archewell Foundation.
Harry and Meghan established the charitable foundation in 2020 to “show up, do good” and have honed a focus on advocating for safer online environments.
The California couple, who share two young children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, launched The Parent’s Network as a key project from the Archewell Foundation at Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Festival in 2023.
During Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the Parent’s Network is partnering with ParentsTogether to help scale its work and impact more families.
When accepting their award, Meghan spoke about how she and Harry are weighing how to navigate technology for their own children one day.

The couple’s Archewell Foundation presented three panels at the festival organized by the Millennial and Gen-Z driven mental health nonprofit, and Harry and Meghan individually introduced two sessions on the schedule.
The Duke of Sussex took the mic for “Thriving or Surviving: How Are Young People Doing in the Digital Age?,” which was a panel presented by the Archewell Foundation.
Next up, the Duchess of Sussex introduced, “How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Caused an International Mental Health Crisis, And How We Can Reverse It,” featuring Katie Couric as moderator, Jonathan Haidt, author of The Anxious Generation and two mothers involved in the Parents Network.

“Three years ago we had met with families whose worlds had been absolutely shattered. Parents who had lost children to social media driven suicide. Others who had lost so many of their children to struggles with depression, anxiety, self-harm all inflicted by online harms,” Meghan said in part in her remarks.
“What we learned in these moments is that these parents, they didn’t just need therapy, they need the other parents who understood their very specific grief. And when they came together, they weren’t just sharing stories, they’re creating a movement,” she continued. “They turned their grief into advocacy, and when they let love fuel their fight for change, we saw tremendous impact. This community power is crucial to protect our children’s mental health online.”
Prince Harry and Meghan listened intently from their front-row seats during the morning programming and mingled with the people around them after.
