Saturday Night Live is back with it’s 51st season on air!

The NBC late night sketch show first debuted exactly 50 years ago TODAY, on October 11, 1975, from creator Lorne Michaels, who still executive produces and is in charge to this day.

Several celebrities have become household names after getting their start on Saturday Night Live and have gone on to have greatly successful careers.

Over the past 50 years, SNL has had over 150 comedians as cast members on the show, from the first ever cast including Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd and more, to the stars of today, which include Colin Jost, Bowen Yang, Michael Che and Kenan Thompson.
