Wedding bells will be ringing for Terrence J and his fiancée, model Mikalah Sultan, “very, very soon.”
Terrence — who was born Terrence Jenkins — caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at Culture Con in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 5. During the conversation, he opened up about the couple’s upcoming nuptials.
“It’s coming. It’s around the corner,” Terrence, 43, says of their wedding.

He adds, “We’re getting married in Dubai, so we’re real excited. That was where we had our first trip and so we’re bringing it back. I can’t wait to get married.”

He went on to tease that the festivities will be happening “very, very soon.”
Terrence popped the question to Mikalah, 27, in December 2023 during a surprise proposal in Miami. They both reshared photos of the moment posted by various friends and family members.

One image from the special occasion posted by La La Anthony showed Terrence and Sultan cuddling on a couch as she held a single red rose and showed off her glittery engagement ring to the camera.
“Congratulations to my brother @terrencj & @mikalahstyles on their engagement,” Anthony, 43, wrote. “Sooo happy for them.”
Sultan later shared a close-up look at her new ring, which featured a large rectangular diamond.

The pair toasted their engagement with a party afterwards surrounded by their loved ones, including several of Sultan’s family members, who were flown in for the occasion by Terrence.
Terrence hosted BET’s music video countdown show 106 & Park from 2006 to 2012, followed by a stint as co-anchor of E! News from 2012 to 2015. He has also appeared in several fan-favorite films and TV series over the years, including Think Like a Man, Burlesque and Entourage.
