On Saturday (October 11), People confirmed that the 79-year-old legendary actress died at the age of 79. A family spokesperson is asking for privacy for Diane‘s loved ones during this difficult time.

Diane first rose to fame in the 1970s thanks to her role in The Godfather movies along with her collaborations with Woody Allen. She won the Oscar for Best Actress for 1977′s Annie Hall.

She is also known for her roles in the Father of the Bride movies, Baby Boom, First Wives Club, The Family Stone, and the Book Club movies.

Her last role was starring in the 2024 comedy movie Summer Camp alongside Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard.

While she was romantically linked to Woody, Al Pacino, and Warren Beatty over the years, Diane never married.

Diane is survived by her two children, daughter Dexter and son Duke, whom she adopted in 1996 and 2001.
