Guest Dies After Haunted Mansion Ride At Disneyland
According to Anaheim police, the unnamed woman became unresponsive after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction on Monday, Oct. 6. Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to the scene, where Disneyland security had already started CPR while waiting for paramedics. She was transported to a nearby hospital, but sadly, was later pronounced dead. Authorities say it appears to have been an “unfortunate medical episode,” and confirmed there were no signs of any malfunction with the ride itself — which quietly reopened shortly after.
Haunted Mansion Incident Has Folks Side-Eyeing Disneyland
At this time, an official cause of death has not been released, but officials say the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner will provide further details. Disneyland also issued a statement to PEOPLE, confirming that a guest required medical attention and was transported to a hospital.
