The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that Mark was arrested at the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, which are all misdemeanors. He remains in the hospital and has not been booked into the Adult Detention Center.

Law enforcement shared that a physical disturbance happened in the early hours of Saturday morning involving two males with one receiving “lacerations” while the other man sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds.

Sources later shared more details with FOX59 about the alleged incident.

According to the source, the stabbing took place near Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery and the man that allegedly stabbed Mark reportedly told police that he was making a food delivery when Mark told him to leave and that he couldn’t park in an alley.

The man claimed that Mark became aggressive and used pepper spray, that’s when he pulled out a knife and stabbed the former athlete in the chest, which he says was in self-defense.

Both Mark and the man were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett recently released a statement addressing the incident.

“I’m monitoring reports of an altercation in our city involving two individuals who do not appear to live in Indianapolis,” Mayor Hogsett shared. “Our city takes pride in being a destination that draws people from near and far, but it’s important that everyone who visits or enjoys our community does so respectfully and peacefully. I’m grateful to the IMPD officers and Indianapolis EMS medical professionals who responded immediately to provide life-saving care. IMPD continues to thoroughly investigate this isolated incident.”

As of right now, Mark has not publicly addressed the incident.

Mark was scheduled to broadcast the Indianapolis Colts vs. Las Vegas Raiders game at Lucas Oil Stadium with Fox Sports on Sunday, October 5.
