But this doesn’t certainly mark the first time the father and son star next to each other, with James previously stressing his dad appears in ‘pretty much every show I do.’

Hugh joined his famous son while appearing on ITV series Grantchester as well as BBC drama War & Peace.

He also made an extra appearance on Death Comes To Pemberley, Lady Chatterley’s Lover and McMafia.

Hugh is now a retired college lecturer, who began joining his son on set as a way to travel and see the world.

‘He is in pretty much every show I do,’ James revealed in a candid interview with BBC Radio 2.

‘My family have nothing to do with this industry. They stand on the sidelines bemused and very supportive, but have no idea what’s going on.’

He went on adding: ‘My dad is recently retired from working as a lecturer at a college near Hull, and it’s a really great way for him and my mum to see the world.

‘So my dad comes and dresses up as these mad characters, and my mum sits of the sidelines and just laughs at him. And they love it.’
