John Stamos’ son uses his dad’s fame in a hilarious way.

While speaking with E! News, the Full House alum, 62, revealed that his son, Billy, 7, uses his popular acting roles to impress the girls in his class.

“He went to a new school. He said, ‘Dad, we had to write down all our things and they said, ‘What’s your favorite TV show?’ ” Stamos recalled. “And he said, ‘The girl next to me put Fuller House.’ And [Billy] said, ‘You know, that’s my dad. My dad’s on that show.’ ”

Stamos said that his son acted out the little girl’s reaction — a deep, excited inhale — before he continued telling the story. “[Billy] said, ‘And he plays Uncle Jesse,’ ” Stamos said, reenacting his son’s friend inhaling deeply three times in a row.

The proud dad finished retelling his son’s story with a smile, adding, “So yeah, he’s using it with the girls, which is fine.”

After playing a doting uncle on Full House from 1987 to 1995, Stamos became a dad at age 54 when he and wife Caitlin McHugh Stamos, 38, had William “Billy” Christopher Stamos in 2018. Elsewhere in the interview, the You star shared that his son also watches the sitcom to “mock” him, using some of the show’s iconic catchphrases on him.

“He watches Full House, but he watches it to mock me because I’ll be like, ‘Go put your Legos away.’ And he goes, ‘You got it, dude,’ ” he said. “You know, he’s pulling catchphrases on me.”

When asked if his son used his iconic “have mercy” catchphrase yet, the Grandfathered alum said that Billy has said it to him. “Yes. Come on,” he said. “But, mocking. Like, not like it’s cool or anything.”

In April, Stamos celebrated Billy’s 7th birthday with a sweet post on Instagram. Sharing a picture of him kissing McHugh’s baby bump on the red carpet of a previous Screen Actors Guild Awards, Stamos wrote a heartfelt message in the caption to commemorate the big day.

“Today our Billy boy turns 7. SEVEN,” Stamos began. “A magical, chaotic, hilarious, action-packed, deep-feeling, big-hearted SEVEN.”

“And while it’s a day to celebrate the joy he brings into the world (and man, does he ever), it’s also a day to celebrate someone else: His mom. Caitlin. @caitlinskybound,” he continued, before praising his wife for the journey she went through while pregnant with their son. “So yes, today we celebrate Billy and the magical little human he is becoming. But this day — this exact day — will always be hers, too. A reminder of her strength, her love, and everything she gave to bring him into this world.”

“Happy 7th to our boy,” Stamos added. “And happy birth day to the one who made him. We see you, Caitlin. And we love you.”
