Josh Hartnett’s Untitled Netflix Newfoundland Series Begins Filming, Adds 4 More to Cast!


Josh Hartnett has begun production on his upcoming new limited series for Netflix.

The 47-year-old actor is set to star in and executive produce the Untitled Newfoundland Project, which is filming in Newfoundland, Canada.

In addition, four more actors have been revealed, joining previously announced Josh, Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton.

Here’s a synopsis: When a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote Newfoundland town, a hard-bitten fisherman must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life.

The Umbrella Academy‘s Jesse McKeown serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer of the six episode limited series.

Joining the cast are Willow Kean, Ruby Stokes, Rohan Campbell and Kaleb Horn.

Jesse’s bold, ambitious vision offers thrills galore, with the heart of a family drama,” Netflix Canada content directors Danielle Woodrow and Tara Woodbury shared in a statement via Tudum. “We can’t wait to transport our members to coastal Newfoundland with this timely story about community, resilience and adaptability.”
