Tori Spelling dishes on her date with ‘unimaginably intelligent’ Charlie Sheen that took place many years ago

Tori Spelling revealed she once dated Charlie Sheen on the latest episode of her misSPELLING podcast but only agreed to do so on one condition.

Tori shared with listeners on Monday’s episode: ‘There was a time that [my friend and dentist] Kevin was friends with him when they were both trying to be sober, and Kevin said, “Charlie wants to ask you on a date.”‘

However, the date would come under one caveat, as she added, ‘I was nervous and didn’t want to go alone,’ so she and Charlie went to an Italian restaurant with Kevin and his parents.

Although they didn’t mesh romantically, the actress said the Two and a Half Men star’s intelligence was ‘off the charts.’

The 52-year-old former Beverly Hills, 90210 sensation recalled that the actor, 60, was ‘unimaginably intelligent.’ 

Her anecdote comes on the heels of his The Life of Sheen: A Memoir release and the debut of his aka Charlie Sheen Netflix documentary.

She emphasized, ‘And his humor! Talk about charming, smart, funny, witty. This guy was it.’ 

Elsewhere on the show, Tori addressed a story the show business icon wrote about in his book, in which he recounted a time when he needed to hide from police following a legal ordeal. 

Tori said, ‘I’m standing in my laundry room and Kevin comes in and says, “T, I need to ask you a favor. Can we hide Charlie?”

‘This was bad news. They’re actively searching for him, like, in helicopters. What if I were to hide him?’

She opted not to involve herself, and the movie star later wrote in his book: ‘Couldn’t blame her, I suppose. But man, who knows what story I’d be banging out right now if the heir to Daddy’s throne said, “Yes.”‘

The pages of the Hollywood vet’s memoir are full of scandalous confessions.

But the father-of-five has since turned his life around.

In an interview with Page Six he said he’s been sober for eight years, and is also celibate. 

He wrote about how his daughter Sami, 21, influenced his sobriety in his book, detailing the moment he knew he had to quit drinking.

Charlie penned, ‘It was December 10, 2017, and by 9am I was on my third Macallan-spiked coffee. My phone rang and when I picked up, it was my daughter Sam asking what time we were leaving.

‘S***; her appointment that day had slipped my mind. I’ve never mixed the cups with the wheel, so I called Tony T. to come bail me out of a situation he was all too familiar with.’

In addition to Sami, the Hollywood veteran also shares 20-year-old daughter Lola Sheen with Richards.

And he’s dad to 16-year-old twins Bob and Max Sheen, whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, and 40-year-old daughter Cassandra Estevez, whom he shares with high school girlfriend Paula Profit.
