Machine Gun Kelly is sharing who got to choose the names of his two daughters.
While answering questions in Today’s 8 Before 8, the Beyond the Lights star, 35, shared who named his daughters, Saga, 4 months, whom he shares with actress Megan Fox, and Casie, 16, whom he welcomed with ex Emma Cannon. MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, said that he didn’t name his older daughter, but picked the name for his youngest.
“Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he said. “When you are 18 years old and you go to her mother and you go ‘What if we named our kid, Kid?’ It’s like, I get why she’s like ‘Hey man, shut up.'”
MGK and the Transformers actress, 39, welcomed their baby girl, Saga, on March 27. While walking the red carpet at the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday, May 26, the “Cliché” rapper couldn’t help but rave over his little girl.
“I’m just so elated,” he told Access Online about life with the newborn. “It’s just awesome.”
He went on to share one thing he adores about being a new father again. “They smell so good,” he said, motioning as if he were cradling a baby. “I was just meant to be a dad.”
For his daughter Casie’s sweet 16, the singer shared a video on his Instagram Stories as he celebrated her milestone birthday. In the sweet clip, MGK could be seen wearing a white cowboy hat, while his daughter matched in a pink sparkly cowboy hat.
Casie also wore a sash that read “Birthday girl” while she and her dad danced around with a toy horse to the tune of Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday.”

Back in June, the singer stepped out at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with his daughter Casie for what marked a rare orange carpet appearance for the duo. Ahead of the show, Casie and Kelly spoke with PEOPLE.
“[He] definitely gives a lot of advice. He’s more like a hype man, though,” Casie told PEOPLE of her dad ahead of his performance, before adding that he encourages her to be “myself.”
“Yeah, I’m a cheerleader,” Kelly said.
