The new Stray Kids album DO IT debuted at #1, ending Taylor Swift’s seven week streak at the top of the Billboard 200 with The Life of a Showgirl, which dropped to #3. DO IT is the eighth Stray Kids album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200. It is the 30th mostly non-English-language album to hit #1, and the third of 2025 (following their previous album KARMA and Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS).
The soundtrack for Wicked: For Good debuted at #2, making it the highest debut for a soundtrack in 2025. KPop Demon Hunters remains at #5 and the Hazbin Hotel soundtrack jumped up to #8. This is the first time in six years that three soundtracks have been in the top 10 (in 2019, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born was #6, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody was #9, and Mötley Crüe’s The Dirt was #10).
Aerosmith’s collaboration with YUNGBLUD debuted at #9, giving Aerosmith their 10th album in the top 10. They are one of the only musical artists to have top 10 albums in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. The Rolling Stones are the only other band to have achieved this. Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and James Taylor have done it too.

On the Hot 100, The Fate of Ophelia was #1 for the eighth week, tying Taylor Swift’s previous record for Anti-Hero. Translation: expect to see another variant released this week to boost Ophelia sales so that Taylor can break her record and get a ninth week at #1.
Ophelia is the first song to spend its first eight weeks on the Hot 100 at #1 since Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License in 2021. 86 other songs have debuted at #1 on the Hot 100. One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men holds the record, spending its first 16 weeks on the chart at #1.
The other songs in the top 3 remained the same for the sixth week in a row with KPop Demon Hunters’ Golden at #2 and Alex Warren’s Ordinary at #3. Olivia Dean’s Man I Need maintained #4 for the third week in a row. Mutt by Leon Thomas dropped from #6 to #9, and Taylor Swift’s Opalite fell from #5 to #10.
The Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey jumped to #5 with her perennial classic All I Want for Christmas Is You, followed by three more holiday songs. AIWFCIY actually beat Ophelia in streams last week (AIWFCIY had 22 million streams while Ophelia had 21.6 million streams), but Ophelia had 25,000 sales, thanks in large part to the new Chainsmokers remix that was released last week.
AIWFCIS has collectively held the #1 spot for 18 weeks (3 weeks in 2019, 2 weeks in 2020, 3 weeks in 2021, 4 weeks in 2022, 2 weeks in 2023, and 4 weeks in 2024). The current record for most weeks at #1 is a tie between A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey and Old Town Road by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, which were both #1 for 19 weeks. Mariah needs one week at #1 to tie the record and two weeks to set a new record.
