Campbell’s Soup VP Mocks ‘Poor People’ Who Buy Its Food and Gets Racist in Secret Recording

Robert Garza, a former security analyst for Campbell Soup Company, has filed a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination after reporting inappropriate behavior by Vice President Martin Bally. Garza claims he recorded Bally making derogatory remarks about Campbell’s products and Indian employees, as well as admitting to drug use at work. Despite positive performance feedback, Garza was fired shortly after reporting these issues to his supervisor, J.D. Aupperle, leading to accusations of retaliation and a racially hostile work environment. Campbell Soup Company stated they are investigating the matter, emphasizing that the alleged comments do not align with their company values.

We are proud of the food we make, the people who make it, and the high-quality ingredients we use. The comments heard on the recording about our food are not only inaccurate — they are patently absurd.

We use 100% real chicken in our soups. The chicken meat comes from long-trusted, USDA-approved U.S. suppliers and meets our high quality standards. All of our soups are made with No Antibiotics Ever chicken meat. Any claims to the contrary are completely false.

Campbell’s said in an official statement that Bally is temporarily on leave while the company conducts an investigation. “If the comments were in fact made, they are unacceptable,” the company said.
