Today is the beginning of a new Billboard week so Taylor Swift released a new variant of The Life of a Showgirl to block Florence’s and Rosalia’s new albums on the Billboard 200 chart. This version (the 36th album variant) is called The Life of a Showgirl + Acoustic Collection. It includes the 7 acoustic songs that were previously released on 4 different deluxe variants.
The Alone in My Tower, Dressing Room Rehearsal, Life is a Song, and So Glamorous Cabaret variants were originally released on CD for 24 hours on October 4. The following week, these 4 variants were released digitally for 24 hours. The CDs each included 2 bonus acoustic tracks (one CD had 1 acoustic track and 1 voice memo version). The digital versions of these deluxe variants each included the same bonus tracks plus 2 voice memos.
Today’s newest album variant includes the following bonus tracks:
The Fate of Ophelia (Alone in my Tower Acoustic Version)
Elizabeth Taylor (So Glamorous Cabaret Version)
Opalite (Life is a Song Acoustic Version)
Eldest Daughter (Now You’re Home Acoustic Version)
Ruin the Friendship (My Advice Version)
Wi$h Li$t (Settled Down Acoustic Version)
The Life of a Showgirl (Dressing Room Rehearsal Version)
And how is Tay Tay doing on the charts? Although her strategy to release more variants of Ophelia last week succeeded in blocking Golden from the #1 spot, the other Showgirl songs aren’t doing very well. The week that The Life of a Showgirl was released, all 12 songs claimed the top 12 spots on the Billboard 100. But this week less than half of them are still in the top 10.
1. The Fate of Ophelia
4. Opalite
8. Elizabeth Taylor

21. The Life of a Showgirl

Golden was #2 again and the rest of the KPop Demon Hunters songs are all still hanging in there for the 19th week:

18. Soda Pop
23. How It’s Done
30. What It Sounds Like
