Hayley Williams drops additional song Good Ol Days, Paramore fans in shambles

Lily Allen’s not the only one having a parasocial relationship moment through her music this week. Hayley Williams dropped an additional song, following the single Parachute off her latest (and very good) solo album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.  If the bulk of her album hinted that she was in a rough patch of her relationship, Parachute seemed to confirm that her relationship with Paramore guitarist Taylor York was in fact dunzo.

Good Ol Days takes her yearning a step further, with lyrics that directly reference the band’s After Laughter album cycle, with mentions of sneaking around together during tour and an accompanying 60+ image photo dump on Hayley’s IG with photos from that time period.

A sample of the lyrics:

We could sneak around like we’re on tour

Even if that’s all you want me for, for

You could call me Miss Paramour

[Chorus: Hayley Williams]

‘Cause I miss you like I miss the rage

Like I miss rеal ink on a page

Who knew, who knew my baby

Who knеw the hard times were the good ol’ days? [a/n: Hard Times was the lead single on After Laughter]

‘Cause I miss you, miss kissing your face

Blissin’ out to music we made

Who knew, who knew my baby

Who knew the hard times were the good ol’ days?

Despite normally being a recluse when it comes to social media and doing interviews for the band, Taylor took to his IG stories to respond before deleting like 20 minutes later:

say what you will
that’s alright!
you’ve got yours
i’ve got mine

i am not a line

Paramore aren’t totally sure how to interpret that, but know that everyone is in shambles wondering what this means for the future of Paramore.
