Tori Amos announces 18th studio album, “In Times of Dragons”

Her instagram lists tour dates for Europe. The LP, CD, and Sign Art Card LPs are available at her store for European orders only, US dates and preorders are soon to come. The blurb shouts out Halsey, who was the inspiration for her song “Life of a Spider” from her most recent album, The Great Impersonator:

In Times of Dragons’ is the 18th album in Amos’ illustrious 36-year career, which has celebrated over 12 million records sold, thousands of concerts, eight Grammy nominations, and numerous awards. Amos’ legacy and impact on female artists today is as prevalent and dynamic as ever – Halsey recently paid homage to Amos as one of the artists that has inspired her most in her career, saying “I grew up on Tori and have always considered her in a class of her own”. In October this year, lifelong fan Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes presented Amos with the Inspirational Artist Award at Music Week’s ‘Women in Music’ event to rapturous applause and a standing ovation from the thousands of women present working in the industry.

anyway, here’s a prolific singer-songwriter who probably has a lot to say! I do hope she is either burning men with dragons (Gaiman, Trump) or slaying them as dragons. I think the title suggests some feisty lyricism. SO excited to see her tour again, too. I hope the Halsey shoutout means we get a live cover… like maybe Tori’s “Graveyard” leading into Halsey’s “Graveyard”
