Lola Young collapsed mid-performance in NYC

Lola Young collapsed mid-performance at the All Things Go Music Festival in New York City on Saturday.

She was in the middle of singing her song “Conceited” when she stopped, started gesturing to someone backstage and pointing to her head, and then collapsed and fell backwards on-stage mid-performance.

Crew members immediately got on stage and surrounded Lola before she was carried off the stage.

A few hours later, Lola posted to social media letting fans know she’s ok.
“Hi, For anyone who saw my set at all things go today , I am doing okay now,” she wrote. “Thank you for all of your support Lola xxx”

The day before, she had cancelled a different performance due to concerns surrounding her mental health.

Earlier in the set, Lola spoke about how she “had a tricky couple of days.”
“Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue. But you know what? Today I woke up and I made the decision to come here. I wanted to perform and I didn’t want to wallow in my sadness. Sometimes life can throw you lemons and you just have to motherfucking make lemonade”

She singer has been candid on social media and in interviews about her mental health throughout her career. She’s been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, as well as ADHD.

Previous day’s cancellation, shared by her manager:

“Unfortunately due to a sensitive matter I have advised Lola Young to pull out of preforming at Audacy — We Can Survive @ Prudential Centre this evening. Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe. She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performance seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
